Bill passed away peacefully at his home in Philadelphia on August 3, 2020 at the age of 91. He was the loving and long-time companion to Esther Eglick and a father figure to her children, Karen and Richard Cohen and Gary Schwartz. Bill was predeceased by his brother Jack, and was the brother-in-law of Judy. Bill was Professor of Law Emeritus at Rutgers School of Law � Camden. He earned his B.S. magna cum laude at Syracuse University and graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University's College of Law where he was editor-in-chief of the law review. Bill earned his LL.M. degree at Harvard Law School. He served in the Legislative and Regulations Division of the Internal Revenue Service and was a partner in prestigious law firms in New York and Washington, D.C. Bill also taught law at George Washington University Law School and he authored and coauthored several publications. Bill had a handful of passions in his long, accomplished life including golf, fine art collecting, opera, and theater. His quiet, mild mannered exterior belied a very strong inner strength and highly resilient nature. Bill was one of the kindest, most generous, and lovable people you could ever meet in this life and will be truly missed by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing him.
