William "Bill" Knight
William "Bill" Knight, on Aug. 28, 2014. Bill is survived by his brothers Robert T. of Springfield, MA, Henry J. of Brewster, MA and his son Christopher and wife Audrey and two grandchildren, Eric and Ana of Harpswell, ME. Predeceased by his sister Jean and his son Jonathan, Bill is dearly remembered by the family of his beloved companion of 36 years, June Herbert who also predeceased him. He will forever be remembered by June's son David Kravitt and wife Karen Friedman Kravitt and June's daughter Marla Minier and her husband Richard. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and their spouses, 2 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
After years in college food service management, Bill counseled alcohol and drug dependent patients at the Philadelphia VA Hospital. Bill helped countless individuals overcome dependency in the fellowship and last year received his 40 year pin. He will be sorely missed by a host of family and friends.
Donations can be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society in his memory. Private burial.
