Vicki Levinson

Vicki Levinson (nee Ostroff) passed away on November 18, 2024 at the age of 79. Vicki was born and raised in Philadelphia to the late Shirley and Edward Ostroff and was the sister of the late Rochelle Ostroff.

Vicki graduated from Northeast High School and worked as a Legal Secretary in Philadelphia where her boss encouraged her to pursue further education. After having her children, Vicki fulfilled her dream of going to college and graduated from Temple University Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Social Work and got her Masters degree with honors one year later. She spent her career working as a Social Worker for Federation Housing and the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging.

She enjoyed classical music, attending shows, traveling and spending time with family. She was very proud of all of her grandchildren’s accomplishments. She loved water aerobics, taking walks and discussing world events. Her granddogs Brutus and Toby were special to her.

Vicki is survived by Lewis, her husband of 57 years, daughter Marla (Tim) Ruff, son Hal (Marci) Levinson and grandchildren Eric and Chad Ruff and Anna and Alex Levinson and several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are invited to Graveside Services on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 2pm at Shalom Memorial Park (Section Jacob 2), 3573 Pine Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Shiva will be observed on Wednesday following the funeral, Thursday and Friday evenings at the home of Hal and Marci Levinson.

 In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org , Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia www.Jewishphilly.org or a charity of the donor’s choice.
