Trudy Rubenstein neé Zackon of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, from pancreatic cancer. 

Trudy was born on December 6th, 1928, to Rose (neé Meadows) and Samuel Zackon in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Trudy received her college degree in Business Management at Temple University, where she met her late husband Alvin Rubenstein, with whom she was married for over 53 years until his death in 2005. The two had three children, Carin Rubenstein (Gary Woodard), Joann Neufeld (Kenneth Neufeld), and Steven Rubenstein (David Roussève). Trudy had six grandchildren, Jason (Alison Lecker) and Daniel Neufeld, Rachel (Eli Cavalcante) and Jonathan Glickhouse, and Michael (Gabriela Geselowitz) and Jessica Spitzer-Rubenstein, and two great-grandchildren, Arlo Lecker and Rafael Rubenstein. Trudy was predeceased by her brother Bernard (Irene) Zackon of Oley, Pennsylvania.

For the past 18 years, Trudy was partnered with Irwin Schwartz, with whom she lived at Oxford Enhanced Senior Living in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Trudy was an avid Mah-Jongg player, and she and Irwin enjoyed going to concerts and participating in the varied activities at Oxford. Trudy had a zest for life, and all who knew her were touched by her warmth and boundless enthusiasm. 

Family and friends are invited to Funeral Services, Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:30am at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton, Pa 19006. Interment at Roosevelt Memorial Park in Trevose, Pennsylvania. Immediately following interment family and friends are invited to the Oxford Senior Living in Langhorne, PA. Shiva will continue Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Association.
