Thaddeus "Ted" J. Wolkiewicz

Ted was the beloved husband of Debra (nee Selznick), stepfather to Sam (Jason) and Erica; and devoted Pop-Pop to Natalya. Ted is survived by his brother Ray (Cindy), sisters Dawn (Ray), Linda (Don) and Terri. He was predeceased by his parents Ted and Georgette Wolkiewicz, and his stepbrother John Connolly.

Born and raised in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Ted graduated from Frankford High School (Class of 75). He worked at Pearson Sporting Goods and Kingsbury Inc before beginning a long and distinguished career in the Philadelphia Police Department. He served the City of Philadelphia with honor as a Policeman working in the 14th, 6th and Highway Patrol, and as a Detective at Central, East, and Northwest Detectives. After retiring from the Police Department, he followed his passion by opening an antique store in Southampton, Pa.

To his fellow officers, he was known as a “Cops Cop”. Although at times he walked his own path, when he arrived, he was always a welcome sight to those in need. He might have been rough and tough and brash on the outside, but to those who knew him, he was a gentle giant who can make you laugh for hours. He left a lasting impression on his co-workers, fellow officers, and his long-time best friend and partner, Neal Aitken.
