CRAVEN
TEMMA G. of Levittown, succumbed to a rare ovarian cancer on Friday evening, March 28, 2008, defying common wisdom, ignoring expectations, and impressing everyone along the way. Born in Philadelphia on July 10, 1941 as Temma G. Nathan, she led a full and meaningful life. After attending Olney High School, she married Barry Fisher in 1962 and had two children, Cheryl (Levittown, PA) and Lawrence (Pittsburgh, PA). All three survive. It would be impossible to list all of her accomplishments as there were so many. Temma devoted most of her adult life to her late second husband, Russell B. Craven, who suffered from a spinal cord disorder. She was also deeply committed to her eight grandchildren-Edward A. Butler, IV, Stephanie Butler, Valarie Butler, Erin Mullen, Scott Yardley, Jr., Brandon Yardley, Shawn Yardley, and Sabrina Yardley-and her great-grandchildren Haley Butler, Anthony Butler, and Alysia Green. She also cared deeply for Russell Junior and his brother Dana Craven. Temma was incredibly generous, giving so much of her time and knowledge to so many over the years. She worked as a physical therapist and as a day care aide. She was a champion for those without champions-a tireless and devoted matriarch who will be dearly missed by her family. Her passion for life, irreverence, optimism and boundless energy flow strongly through the many people she has touched through the years. Services in memory of Temma will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at 10:00 A.M., at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton. The family will sit Shiva at Temma's Levittown home, following her Burial at Forrest Hills Cemetery.
