nee Gordon, 93 years old of Warminster, formerly of Mt. Airy then NE Philadelphia, passed away on Saturday July 22nd. Beloved wife of the late Saul (Sol) Brown and the late Jack Horowitz, devoted sister to Marilyn Goldsmith and Theodore Gordon (deceased), she is survived by her loving children Stephen (Debbie) and Andee (Gary) Samartino, her adoring grandchildren Jesse (Valerie) Brown, Adam (Sarah) Brown, Daniel (Alex) Samartino, Richard Samartino, Liana Samartino (Max) and 4 great grandchildren, David, Max, Nel, and Ruben.

Together with her husband, Sol, they ran Brown's Fabrics and Trimmings store in Philadelphia for many years. Sylvia was an avid reader, enjoyed the beach, traveling, winters in Florida, playing bridge and mahjong, and pottery classes. She loved spending time with friends and family, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Wednesday, July 26th at 1:30 PM precisely at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael Sacks Suburban North, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed Wednesday evening only at 6 PM at the Keystone Music Room at Ann's Choice, Warminster, PA 18974. Donations may be made in Sylvia's memory to Congregation B'nai Tikvah Beth Israel in Sewell, NJ and Temple Judea in Fort Myers, FL.
