Stephen Wiater

Stephen Wiater, of Philadelphia, passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 82, at the hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on March 24, 1944, and was raised in Philadelphia.

At the age of 18, Stephen entered the United States Air Force, where he served for four years. Following his military service, he worked several jobs before beginning his longest and final career as a procurement agent for the Navy.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 54 years, Andrea; his two daughters, Candy Wiater and Marcie DiPentino; his son-in-law, Damien DiPentino; his sister, Marlyn Harris; his granddaughters, Abby and Hannah; and his granddog, Lacey. He was a proud grandfather who loved his granddaughters and had a special place in his heart for Lacey.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, including trips to the zoo when his daughters were young. In later years, he and Andrea enjoyed going on cruises together. He also liked attending his granddaughters’ sporting events, watching television, food shopping, and following football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles.

Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11:30 AM, Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton PA 18966. Interment King David Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the DiPentino residence Friday following services and Saturday and Sunday after 3:00 PM. Shiva will continue at the Wiater residence Monday and Tuesday (4/13 & 4/14) 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM.

Stephen will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his years of service.
