Stephen Barry Ratner (“Steve”), born September 20, 1946, passed away on January 12, 2026. Beloved husband of Audrey Ratner (née Pinkowitz). Devoted father of Deana Ratner, Lee Ratner, Janette (Todd) Ritter, Rami (Aline) Hakim, and Doron Hakim. Cherished grandfather of Ramses, Colin, Declan, Shannon, Meghan, Aidan, Joshua, Jonah, and Kyrie (Harrison). Proud great-grandfather of Aubrey and Sawyer.

Steve was preceded in death by his first wife, Renee, and is survived by his wife, Audrey.

Born and raised in the Logan section of Philadelphia, Steve was the son of Harold and Miriam Ratner. He was one of three brothers and was predeceased by Marvin and Robert. He began raising his family in Langhorne and Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania, before spending the later years of his life in Center City Philadelphia with his beloved Audrey, where they enjoyed city life and traveled as often as possible. Margate, New Jersey was Steve’s happy place by the shore—a place filled with family, laughter, and lifelong memories. He also looked forward each year to a guys’ trip to Las Vegas with close friends.

Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had remarkable talent across many trades—building home additions, renovating properties, and generously sharing his time, skills, and knowledge with others. He had a lifelong passion for vintage and exotic automobiles.

Steve had an amazing wit, infectious laughter, and a gift for making others feel special. He brought joy, humor, and connection into every room.

Professionally, Steve was an accomplished CPA for more than 40 years. He founded and managed his own firms, served as a business manager for Miles Davis, and worked as a boxing promoter—reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and wide range of interests. He also taught real estate at Temple University, where he shared his expertise with students and emerging professionals. Throughout his life, Steve was a mentor to many, offering guidance, encouragement, and wisdom with generosity and heart.
