It is with deepest and heartfelt sympathy that we announce the passing of Stanley (Tsvi) David Grosswald. Beloved son of the late Benjamin and Sarah (nee Freedoff) Grosswald, sister of Sandra (late Lester) Kramer, Uncle of Ellen & Frank Torre, and Erik Torre, and David Kramer. Cousin to Cynthia (late Melvin) Cardonick, Amy Cardonick, Brandon Schwartz, Matthew Cardonick, Eric (Desiree), Mia, Ava, & Leo Cardonick, Felice (late Murray) Simon, Tara, Ashley (Brian) Saviski, Jack & Matthew.
A native of Philadelphia, he attended Temple University receiving an education Degree, a B.A. in Political Science, an M.A. in Criminal Justice, And a Masters in Education Foreign Language. His certification was in Hebrew, English and Social Studies. He was a Hebrew and Social Studies teach at Northeast High School, a Hebrew History instructor at Montgomery Community College, Coordinator and instructor for foreign born students at Temple University, Computer systems engineer and instructor in criminal law at Institute for Security and Technology. He received numerous honors from Brandeis University, U of P Medical School, and Temple University.
Stan served as U.S. Army Captain in Vietnam, awarded the Bronze Star. Graduate of Infantry Officer Candidate School, Russian Language School, Intelligence School, and Naval Defense Intelligence school.
After Aliyah to Israel he was a reserve Captain and spokesman in the IDF. Was a spokesperson for Middle East and Vietnam, as well as published articles in professional Journals.
Graveside service will be held on Friday August 1st, 2025, at 2 PM at Mt. Sharon Cemetery, 502 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA 19064. Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
