Sondra "Sandy" Rubenstein

Sondra "Sandy" Rubenstein (nee Stein) born on April 1, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. She was a beautiful person, a radiant soul who embodied love and compassion throughout her life. Her generous spirit won her an abundance of friends over the years, and her unwavering dedication to her family was a testament to the nurturing heart within her.

She is survived by her devoted sons, Martin Rubenstein and Barry (Sally) Rubenstein, whose lives she enriched with her boundless love and wisdom. As a grandmother, she took immense pride in her granddaughter, Sara (Michael) Miller, as well as the joy brought forth by her great-granddaughters, Hailey and Leah, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her additional family, Jack (Donna) Zubris, Steve (Sherry) Zubris, Alan (Debbie) Zubris, along with their children Josh (Julie), Todd, Kimberly, Jason (Christine), Jayne (Brian), Max  and grandchildren Trey, Grant, Ryan, Carter, Evie, Rose, Alaina and Gabby, all of whom were touched by her gentle presence, warmth, and nurturing guidance.

Sandy enjoyed many years and activities at Delaire Landing and most recently at Brightview Senior Community.

Sandy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Rubenstein, and her loving partner, Sol Zubris and her brother Norman (Hellen) Stein. Their memories live on in the stories, laughter, and profound impact they shared throughout their lives together.

As we reflect upon the wonderful tapestry of Sandy's life, we are reminded of the beautiful connections she forged, the kindness she bestowed upon others, and the love that enveloped her family. She leaves an indelible mark in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her, forever remembered as a beacon of beauty and dedication in a world that often needed her light the most.

At the family's request Funeral Service and Interment are private.
