GREENSTEIN

SIDNEY, M.D., Feb. 3, 2006, age 78. Beloved and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and physician, died peacefully at his home after a brave struggle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Greenstein is a graduate of Central High School, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Medical School of the University of Pennsylvania. An internist/ cardiologist, he was also a professor of medicine at Temple University. Dr. Greenstein retired in 1996 to tend to his favorite passions: his wife, perennial gardens and history books. He will be remembered for his love of teaching, his keen intellect and his humanity. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elyse (nee Elkins); 4 children Andrew, Susan, Deborah, and Ellen, as well as their spouses and 6 grandchildren - all of whom will miss him greatly. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday at 2:30 P.M. at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS, 6410 N. Broad St., Phila. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to The Abington Free Library, 1030 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001.
