SHIRLEY SALTZMAN

Shirley Saltzman passed away peacefully April 23, 2020, at the age of 89, from Coronavirus. Wife of the late Jack Saltzman, whom she was married to for 57 years. Sister of the late Robert Berzein, who passed away two weeks ago. Survived by children Alan Saltzman, Stuart Saltzman, who lives in Florida, and Ronald (Cindi) Saltzman; grandchildren Daniel (Cindy) Saltzman, Lauren (Brandon) Gross, Heather Saltzman, Chelsea Saltzman, Veronica Marsden and Brielle Marsden; and great-grandchildren Olivia, Vered, Makayla, Rayna, and Charlie, whom she constantly doted over. With roots in South Philadelphia, Shirley gained a strong foundation for family, an admirable perseverance and a lasting passion for city culture. Shirley and Jack went on to open The Family Tavern, welcoming everybody into their "extended family" for an impressive 35 years. Shirley's Love for cooking & hospitality continued on as she was always the one to host family gatherings and celebrations. Shirley and Jack traveled the world together always enriching their own lives and bringing a wealth of stories home with them. The family takes great joy in knowing that Shirley and Jack are together at their final destination dancing once again� no doubt she is dressed to the nines in her highest heels! She will surely be missed by everybody that ever met Shirley. Graveside Services for immediate family only are scheduled for Friday 1:30 PM precisely.
