Shirley Mellon

Mellon, Shirley (nee Schwartz) Born June 13, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Charles of Philadelphia, PA. Shirley was a friend to everyone and was a fabulous listener. She was an avid reader and loved the arts. She was known as "Little Shirley" to her nieces and and nephews on her beloved husband Charlie's side of the family. Shirley was a sun worshipper and was the best at untangling the string on a kite. Shirley was the social queen of Fayette Street and spent hours having coffee at everyone's house house on Fayette Street in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. Devoted mother of Gary Mellon (Mona) of Dallas, TX, and Debrah Bechtel (Glenn) of Philadelphia, PA. Loving grandmother of Erika Mellon, Michael Mellon (Lisa Steiner), Ryan Bechtel (Rachel Sanderoff), and Scott Bechtel. Funeral services were held Sunday at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL-SACKS 310 2ND Street Pike, Southampton, PA. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
