Sheldon "Shelly" Rieber, affectionately known to many as “Deli Shelly,” passed away on June 11, 2026. He was 88 years young. Husband of Lesley Hope Rieber (nee Gritz), Shelly will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, devoted to Lesley and deeply proud of the family they built together. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 11:30 AM precisely at the Roosevelt Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 2701 Old Lincoln Highway, Trevose, PA 19053. Interment to follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park.
Son of Samuel and Claire, Shelly was a proud and loving father to Dawn (Rieber) and Marc Rosoff, Terri Rieber, Brett and Nikki (Spitzer) Rieber, Dawn (Harvey) and Josh Saidel, and Jarrett and Amber (Miller) Harvey. He was also a treasured grandfather to Sam Rosoff, Addison Rieber, Asher and Samantha Saidel, and Kelsey and Jaxon Harvey.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Shelly carried a lifelong love for the city and its sports teams, especially the Eagles and Phillies. He enjoyed the excitement of the casino, traveling to new places, and especially the joy and relaxation of cruise vacations. Whether cheering for Philadelphia sports, sharing a meal, taking a trip, telling “Shelly” stories, or spending time with those he loved, Shelly brought warmth and personality to the moments that mattered most.

Shiva will be observed Sunday following interment and Monday & Tuesday evenings atfter 6:00 PM at the late residence. Minyan is at 6:30 PM Monday and Tuesday.
