Medicines Developer, 61, who worked to develop medicines that improve the lives of patients has died. Dr. Ronkin, of Philadelphia and Longport, died Sept. 25, 2018 of advanced cancer. She was an avid reader, knitter, weaver, enjoyed travel, took long walks through the streets of Philadelphia and was engaged in current political discourse. Dr. Ronkin is survived by her husband Dr. Andrew Gerson, daughter Lyssa Gerson Guy (Nir Guy), son Alexander Gerson, and father Seymour Ronkin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10 A.M. at Temple Adath Israel, 250 N. Highland Ave., Merion Station, PA 19066. Contributions in her memory may be made to Philabundance or the Mitzvah Food Pantry.
