Sandy Hollin

Sandy Hollin, RN, BSN (nee Leshner), age 69 years, devoted wife of Edward for 47 years, and loving mother of Lee Hollin (Jonathan Osterbach Hollin) and Dr. Ilene Hollin (Brian Barenbaum) died on May 19, 2023 after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer. Sandy was a proud graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls and Penn State, and enjoyed a successful career as a nurse in various specialties. She was known for her beautiful smile, warm and generous nature, unfailing kindness, nurturing personality, unassailable optimism, and disarming absence of pretense. Sandy grew up in Overbrook Park, around the corner from her future husband, Ed, and was a long-time resident of Lafayette Hill, before moving recently to Society Hill. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Relatives and friends are invited to services Tuesday 10:30 AM precisely at Goldsteins’ Rosenbergs’ Raphael-Sacks, 6410 N. Broad St., Phila., PA 19126. Int. Mt. Sharon Cem. Shiva will be observed following interment and Tuesday through Thursday evenings, with minyan services at 7:30 PM in the Community Room at One Independence Place, 241 S. 6th St., Phila., PA 19106.
