Sandra Izes

Sandra “Mommom” Izes (née Weinstein), born on January 28, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 16 2025, in Voorhees, New Jersey. Sandra was 83 years old. She spent most of her adult life in Ventnor NJ.

Sandra’s life was deeply rooted in love for her family and the simple joys that brought her peace—especially butterflies, the beach, and time spent with those she held dear. Her warmth and presence left a lasting impression on all who knew them.

Sandra was the beloved spouse of the late Burton Izes. Their life together formed the foundation of a close-knit family that continues to carry forward their legacy. Sandra is lovingly remembered by their daughters Alise (Larry) Ost, Lori (Michael) Salomon, Sherri (Darren) Rossin, and Jill Kane (Jeff Pokrass), as well as son-in-law Martin Kane.

Their memory lives on through their cherished grandchildren: Allison (David) Ackers, Samantha (Matthew) Weinstein, Jordyn (Jordan) Leibowitz, David Ost, Stefanie Rossin, Brendan Kane, Austin Kane, and Riley Rossin. Sandra also had the joy of welcoming a great-granddaughter into the world—Frankie Ackers—whose presence brought an added sparkle to their later years. She also passed awaiting the arrival of great-granddaughter Baby Girl Leibowitz. 

Sandra is also survived by their brother Marc (Diane) Weinstein.

A service honoring Sandra’s life will be held on Sunday April 20, 2025, at 12 Noon with the family receiving guests starting at 11:30AM at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, Pennsylvania 18966.

Following the service, shiva will be observed at the home of Samantha and Matthew Weinstein. An additional shiva gathering will take place Monday April 21,2025 607 Herzel Ave in Northfield, New Jersey.
