SAMUEL GOODMAN

1923 — January 1, 2021

Samuel Goodman, 98, of Warminster PA, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Ruth Goodman for 74 years. Loving father of David Goodman and Linda Goodman Morganstein. Dear brother to Adele Schwartz. Beloved father-in-law to Stanley Morganstein. Dear Great Grandfather to Paxton Morgan. Sam was a proud patriotic Military veteran during WW2 serving in the Army Air core for 3 years. He was stationed in India, Burma, and China. He studied at Temple University and majored in electrical engineering. He owned a successful business with his Cousin Leon in electronics sales and service (owning 2 stores), which they ran for 35 years. After retiring he worked for a successful computer software company which he enjoyed immensely and finally retired for good at age 90. Sam was well noted for his great sense of humor, curiosity, and many hobbies. He loved music and was an avid violinist playing in the Frankford Symphony Orchestra (a local orchestra). He lived for many years in Philadelphia and eventually moved to Bucks County. He volunteered and enjoyed being a math tutor in a local Highschool and developed long term friendships with his students. He was a certified hypnotist, performed an array of magic tricks and always kept people laughing with constant new jokes. He even learned to speak Spanish in his eighties with my mom. Sam was very handy around the house and could fix almost anything. Most Importantly he was a wonderful husband to Ruth, a dedicated family man and a good friend to everyone. Sam was kind, generous and always eager to help others. Relatives and friends are invited to graveside service on Sunday December 19th at 11:30 am promptly at Montefiore Cemetery on 600 Church Road in Jenkintown. Masks are required to attend the services. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
