SAMUEL DORFMAN

Samuel Dorfman passed away on March 27, 2022, at the age of 90. Son of Jacob and Fanny (nee Mark) and devoted brother to Shirley and Ida. Sam was the beloved husband of the late Beatrice Weiss (nee Scher). He was a loving stepfather to Barry Weiss, Andrea (Paul) Gochin, Jeffrey (Sharon) Weiss and Jill (Jim) Rall. Sam was a doting grandfather to Evan, Lindsay, Joshua, Zachary, Jessica, and great-grandfather to Sawyer. He had a close and loving relationship with his many friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Sam ascended the ranks as a long-time federal government employee, specializing in Procurement. Next to his family, his greatest point of pride was service to his country. He was drafted into the Army 78th Triple A Battalion during the Korean War. Sam attained the rank of Sergeant and was awarded a Bronze Service Star as well as many citations and metals. Per Sam's wishes all memorial arrangements will be private. A small service was held on March 28, 2022.
