S. BEATRICE (nee Rosen) passed away August 15, 2011. Predeceased by her husband, Francis H. Stern, M.D.; her parents Max and Augusta Rosen and a sister Sylvia Rubin. She is survived by a younger sister Dr. Rhoda Rosen Kanter (Seymour); nieces and nephews, Sheila Simon (R. Moshe), Cindy Warkow (Adam), Gregg Kanter, Esq. (Sheri), Lawrence E. Kanter, M.D. (Susan) and Brad M. Kanter (Amy). She is also survived by 16 grand, 37 great grand and 10 great great grand nieces and nephews. "Bibsy" was born in Atlantic City, NJ where she became a child professional dancer. She graduated from Trenton Central High School, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the high school magazine, Staff Editor of the high school year book and leading member of the high school swimming team. She earned many New Jersey and National A.A.U. swimming medals and tried out for the 1936 Olympic Swimming Team. She became Executive Secretary to the President of Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 1947 in New York City. She was National President of Brith Sholom Women 1970 to 1972 and a member of its Board of Governors. In 1972 she was awarded the Four Chaplains Legion of Honor Membership. When she was over 60 she became a Registered Nurse, graduating with highest honors. She was biographed in Who's Who in American Women, Who's Who in Medicine and Health Care, and Who's Who in the World. From 1992 until her death she did volunteer work at Hollywood Medical Center and Aventura Medical Center. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Wednesday 11:30 A.M. precisely GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton. Int. Roosevelt Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the residence of Rhoda and Seymour Kanter.
