Ruth Selma Volin

Ruth Selma Volin (nee Rosenberg)  of Lansdale PA passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024, 2 months shy of her 100^th birthday.   She was born in Philadelphia on May 19, 1924 to Clara and Julius Rosenberg, the youngest of 4 children.

After marrying Jack Volin in 1948, she followed him to York and Hanover Pennsylvania where she became his office manager in his optometric office. They spent years sailing the Chesapeake Bay together and finally retired to St. Michaels on the waterfront upon retirement. In 1997 they moved to their ACTS community in Lansdale to be closer to her family.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2008. She is survived by her daughters Hope (Jeff) Rabinovitz and Jan (Philip Goldstein) Volin, grandchildren Shelli (Joseph) Pruger, Joel (Molly) Rabinovitz, Dan (Kristin) Goldstein, Benjamin (Hannah) Goldstein and 10 adored great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were private. Contributions in her memory can be made to Diabetes Research Institute or Multiple Sclerosis of America.
