RUTH SHERMAN
Ruth Sherman, 96 passed away peacefully on February 17, 2020.
She is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Irene and Lenny Friedrich, Stan and Kathy Sherman and Charlie and Bernadette Sherman; her loving grandchildren Michael, Jason and wife Allyssa Friedrich, Rebecca Sherman and Andrew, Taylor, Ben and Leah Sherman and her adoring great great grandchildren Avi and Ellie Friedrich.
Ruth was born in Hazelton, PA and raised in West Philadelphia. She is predeceased by her parents, Lena and Morris Lewis, brother Edward, and her brother Irwin, who was a WWII Vet who perished on the USAT Dorchester. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mort ShermanRuth and Mort moved to Broomall in 1954 where she resided to this day. Ruth was an active member of the community, cherished by her long time neighbors and friends on Village Lane. She was also an active member of the Democratic Party of Delaware County. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 20th 12 Noon precisely, at Goldsteins', Rosenberg's, Raphael-Sacks, Inc. 6410 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. 19126. Shiva will be held at her late residence immediately following burial at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose PA 19053.
