RUTH RAPPAPORT

(nee Gross) passed away January 9, 2019 Born May 13. 1925 to Isadore and Anna Gross. Adored wife of the late Charles "Carroll" Prepstein and Paul Rappaport. Beloved mother of Linda(Bob, deceased), Debbie(Bruce) and Ellen(Peter).She leaves her grandchildren Allie(Drew), Karri(Josh) Marci, Chad (Megan) and Abby(Chris) and her great grandchildren, Ben, Jake and Aaron. (They loved their GG). She is also survived by her sister Shirlee, and joins Pearl,and Florence, who she often called her best friends. Her niece and many nephews have fond memories of their Aunt Ruthie.
Ruth lived a long and happy life. She loved to dance and she LOVED coffee! She loved to shop and always looked stunning. She was a brilliant woman, earning her bachelor's and master degrees in nursing while working as the director of nursing and raising her three children. She was an incredible role model. She appeared on TV introducing "pantsuits" for nurses to wear to work.
After she retired she enjoyed traveling, knitting, and reading. She knitted numerous items for family and friends-beautiful blankets for the babies, sweaters and scarves and hats for all. She was a kind and generous neighbor and friend.
Ruth lived most of her adult life in Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel NJ. Her last months were spent at Brandywine Senior Living in Haddonfield. Her family would like to thank the incredible staff there. Their compassion and love will be treasured and always remembered. The family would also like to thank Grace Hospice for their exceptional care during Ruth's last few days. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.
