HENDLER

RUTH (nee Cohen), 89 years of age, died peacefully May 26, 2014. She is survived by Allen, her husband of 67 years; daughter, Jane (Michael) Schapiro and son, Gary (Marjorie) Hendler; grand-children Matthew (Marni) Schapiro, Richard (Lauren) Schapiro, David Schapiro, Sophia and Elizabeth Hendler, and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Sonia Lipsius. Ruth is remember-ed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grand-mother, always putting the needs of others before hers.
Prior to her retirement, she had a 2 decade career with the Haverford and Philadelphia School Districts
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, May 28th, 11:30 A.M., at Main Line Reform Temple, 410 Montgomery Ave., Wynnewood PA 19096, with Interment following at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the home of Gary and Marji Hendler through Thursday.
