Ruth was born in Reading, PA and grew up in Atlantic City, where she worked in her family's fabric store. She went to school to study fashion design. After moving to Philadelphia, she enjoyed working at Bonwit Teller. While her children were growing up, she went back to work at The Northeast Regional Public Library, where she loved working with and teaching children. Ruth was an avid reader and talented artist. She, together with Jerry, showed passion for learning by continuing their education and taking college courses for 15 years as senior citizens. She was very progressive and had strong liberal values. She loved traveling the world, and taking her family with her. After all, her most important treasure in life was time spent with her family. Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service Sunday at 2 pm precisely at Montefiore Cemetery, 600 Church Road, Jenkintown, PA 19064.
Contributions in Ruth's name can be made to the ACLU, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the eventual Democratic Presidential Nominee.
