96, of Philadelphia, formerly of Drexel Hill, passed away on Aug. 14, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor L. Gansky and the late Mollie Rubin Gansky, brother of Lena Herman, devoted father of Gary Gansky and Karen R.G. (Roy) Brandow, grandfather of Elliot M. (Joy) Brandow, Jenna S. Brandow, Jim Gansky and Suzanne Gansky, great grand-father of Penelope E. Brandow; also survived by nieces and nephews. Ruby was proud to be awarded the Bronze Star for service during WWII in Burma and member of "Merrill's Marauders". Services will be held at Cong. Ohev Shalom, Wallingford, PA. on Thursday Aug. 17th at 1 P.M. precisely. Interment Mt. Sharon Cem. Friends and family are invited to shiva services at the home of Roy and Karen Brandow Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Contributions in Ruby's memory may be made to Cong. Ohev Shalom or Lafayette Redeemer.
