Roy Allen

on September 28., 2022, surrounded by his beloved family.  Loving husband for 67 years of Heather Allen (Rubin); Devoted father of Cindy Monroe (Greg), Michelle Bryson and Debbie Finer (Steven), and the late Jeffrey Allen: Fantastic grandfather of Austin (Lily), Blaire, Joshua (Bridget), Elysha (Matthew), Cole, and the late Ryan; Outstanding great-grandfather of Jackson, Cameron, Malcolm and Benjamin; Loyal brother of Larry Allen and the late Arthur Allen.  Roy grew up in Phila., PA and graduated from Central HS, class of 196 and then went on to graduate from Drexel Univ. with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He started his career as an engineer with RCA both in Phila, PA and Burlington MA.  He went on to own his own business, Dentronix, a manufacturing company for orthodontic instruments where he patented a dry heat sterilizer that was the first of its kind in the industry.  He retired from Dentronix, then he and Heather explored the world together in a series of fantastic trips to places like Africa, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.  For the last 20 yrs. they were snowbirds splitting their time between FL and PA. Roy had a lifelong love affair with his wife Heather who he met in high school and loved until the day he died.  He was a devoted father who encouraged and supported his children.  He adored his grandchildren and spent time with each and every one of them including Bar and Bat Mitzvah travel.  His great grandchildren were the light of his life. He was a loyal son, brother and friend.   Roy was smart, kind, funny, generous and a pure joy to be around.  Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services Sunday, 2:30 PM precisely at Goldsteins, Rosenbergs Raphael-Sacks Suburban North Chapel, 310 2^nd Street Pk, Southampton, PA. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.  Int Private   Shiva will be observed at the home of Cindy and Greg Monroe from  6-9 PM.  Shiva will continue Monday, 1– 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM.
