Ronald Weingrad

Ronald L. Weingrad, age 80, of Philadelphia, PA, and a longtime resident of Bensalem, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, surrounded by love and family.

Ron is survived by his children, Lauren Levin (Mark) and Eric Weingrad (Angela); his grandchildren, Haley and Sam Levin and Stella and Holton Weingrad; and his brother, Mark Weingrad. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend and ex-wife, Ronnie Weingrad, and his girlfriend, Silvia Levin. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Mae Weingrad.

Ron grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, where he attended Olney High School before earning an associate’s degree from Temple University. He was a highly respected and successful car salesman from his early 20s well into his 60s, later transitioning into a career as a mortgage broker until his retirement earlier this year. Throughout his career, Ron was known for his humor, professionalism, and deep commitment to both his customers and the companies he worked for.

As a young man, Ron was known as the “King of the Hot Shop.” With magazine-cover good looks, thick black hair, and a larger-than-life personality, his charisma was undeniable and his circle of friends was endless. After marrying in 1974 and welcoming his first child, Ron discovered his true calling in life: being a father. From that point on, he dedicated himself entirely to his children and grandchildren, leaving them with a lifetime of memories filled with fun, laughter, love, and joy.

While family was the guiding force behind every decision he made, Ron had a deep love for life and embraced it fully. He was an avid golfer, a passionate collector of coins, stamps, and sports memorabilia, and spent countless hours searching for deals on his ever-growing collection of gadgets. A devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, Ron spent many Sundays at Veterans Stadium in his cherished 50-yard-line season seats. He proudly passed his love of sports on to his children and grandchildren and mastered the art of the heckle. And while nothing brought him more joy than his family, cooking came in a close second. Though entirely self-taught, Ron had an incredible ability to prepare delicious and often elaborate meals for those he loved.

Above all else, Ron loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed connecting with people from all walks of life—though he admittedly preferred dogs over humans. He loved finding a good deal and was truly a master at it. He was generous with advice, guidance, and wisdom, always ready to share what he’d learned. Ron left a lasting mark on this world and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Sunday, December 28, at 11:30 a.m. at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment will follow at Shalom Memorial Park.

Shiva services will be held later that day at the home of Lauren Levin in Marlton, NJ.
