Ronald Troy, 83, of Margate, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Ron was the beloved son of the late Leo and Dorothy Troy; devoted father to Wendy Pasqua (Benedict), Brian Troy, (Mindy), cherished grandfather to Benjamin Pasqua, Michael Pasqua, Paulina Loncosky, and Robyn Kuhn (Nathaniel), and proud great-grandfather to Raeleigh Kuhn, and Colten Loncosky. He was the dear brother of Hyla Berkowitz (Dan), the late Ruby Roth, (Harry), and his late twin brother Bernard Troy. He is also lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and his cherished dance family.
Ron was the person everyone could count on - someone who would drop whatever he was doing to help a friend, lend a hand, or share a laugh. He embraced life with enthusiasm and made sure those around him did the same. He treasured time with his family and friends, loved traveling the world, and had a passion for dancing. Ron also enjoyed playing pickleball, riding his bicycle, swimming and cheering on his beloved Phillies.
Ron was a founding student of Scranton Hebrew Day School, the first Jewish day school in Scranton. A graduate of Central High School, Class of 1961, Ron went on to graduate from the University of Scranton,1965. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve and retired from the Medical Service Corps with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Following his military service, Ron became a licensed real estate broker and served as a Real Estate Assessor for the City of Philadelphia.
Ron was a founding member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Assessors Association of Pennsylvania (AAP) and the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO). He also served as President of the B’nai B’rith Real Estate Lodge from 1984 to 1985.
While his family mourns an immeasurable loss, they find comfort in knowing that Ron’s legacy lives on through the countless memories, stories, and friendships he created throughout his life. His life was extraordinarily well lived, and he will be missed beyond words, remembered always, and loved forever.
