Ronald David Servetnick, known to those who loved him as Ron, passed away suddenly at home on September 23, 2026. He was 79 years old.

Born on February 23, 1947, in Philadelphia, Ron lived a life marked by devotion to his family, pride in his country, and a quiet, steady presence that brought comfort to those around him. He was a gentle giant in every sense of the phrase—very quiet, deeply kind, and remembered by many as a big teddy bear.

Ron was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, and being a veteran remained one of his proudest accomplishments throughout his life. He was a Jewish War Veteran who carried a deep pride in his country that was evident to all who knew him. That sense of duty and commitment also shaped his working life where he served as a mail carrier for 36 years, a role that reflected his reliability and dedication. For many years, he also delivered pizzas for New England pizzeria, continuing to work hard and provide for his family.

Beyond his work, Ron found joy in the simple but meaningful pleasures of life. He was a Free Mason, and he loved watching his Phillies and Eagles play. He especially cherished traveling with his wife, Lynne, creating memories together over the course of their many years of marriage. Among the moments he spoke of with special happiness was a trip to Las Vegas with his grandson Ryan. He also treasured getting to see Stella sing and Evan's magic tricks. His 50th wedding anniversary stood as a beautiful milestone in a loving marriage.

At the center of Ron’s life was his family, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynne, his wife of 53 years. He also leaves behind his sons, Gary and Brian, and his daughters-in-law, Robyn, wife of Gary, and Kimberly, wife of Brian. Ron was a loving grandfather to Ryan, Stella, and Evan, and he took great joy in each of them. He is also survived by his brother Raymond Savett and wife Sandy; his brother Robert Servetnick and wife, Carol; and his sister Joy Kligman and husband, Larry. Ron’s love extended not only to his family, but also to the many pets he cherished over the years, who were part of the life and home he held so dear.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel and his mother Sarah.

Ron will be remembered for his quiet strength, his warm heart, his loyalty to those he loved, and the pride he carried for his family and his service to his country. His life was one of steadiness, tenderness, and enduring love, and his memory will remain close to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
