Ronald “Ron” I. Kalstein, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2024, at the age of 75.
Born on June 18, 1949, in Philadelphia, Ron lived much of his life in Southampton, Pennsylvania, where he lovingly raised his son, Paul. He was a proud alumnus of Temple University, earning a Master’s degree in Educational Media. A talented musician and songwriter, Ron wrote music for a number of notable artists, including KC from KC and the Sunshine Band, Jimmy Bo Horne, Samantha Sang, and many others. His passion for music enriched the lives of those around him. Ron dedicated 36 years of his professional life as an award-winning media director at Albert Einstein Medical Center and Moss Rehabilitation Center, where he made a significant impact through his creativity and dedication.
Loving husband of Debbi Kalstein (nee Braunston); devoted father of Senior Airman USAF, Paul Kalstein; dear brother of Ona Kalstein; brother-in-law of Peter and Laura Braunston; and uncle of Bryce and Morgan. He is also cherished by his dear friends, Kenny Gentsch, Alex Atmadi, John Moore, his dog, Doug, and his parrots, Tongo, Skippy and Billie.
Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside services Wednesday, December 4, 2:00 PM precisely at Shalom Memorial Park, 3573 Pine Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Shiva will be observed Wednesday and Thursday at the late residence. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, www.themmrf.org .
In this time of deep sorrow, we remember Ron for his unwavering kindness, his talent, and the love he shared with everyone around him. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
