Obituary

Ronald London, age 96, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026, surrounded by love and family.

Ronnie grew up in West Philadelphia, to Phillip & Molly London. He was an accomplished student, avid tennis player, and classical pianist. Ron was a successful businessman, taking over his father’s wholesale shoe company, Samuels and London.

Ronnie was courageous and larger than life. He served in the Air Force, fighting for his country during the Korean War. He was the best friend, husband, father, and grandfather, always putting everyone else’s needs above himself.

It wasn’t until the summer of 1958 that his life really took a turn. It was that summer that he saw a cute 23-year-old on the beach in Atlantic City. From that moment on, him & Elaine were inseparable for 66 years. They were the most beautiful couple who cherished time with their friends and family. They spent many years traveling, socializing, and embracing the youthful spirit that they both shared. Ron & Elaine built an amazing life, raising three lovely daughters, Michelle, Pamela, and Stacey.

Ronnie loved movies, movies, and more black & white movies. He was an expert on all card games, especially bridge, which he loved to teach to others. He enjoyed exploring new restaurants, swimming, beaching, and watching all things theater and film. Ron loved his Philadelphia sports, though he constantly complained about how long the quarterback held the ball for. Ronnie loved life and lived every day to the fullest. He was always sharing wisdom and guidance about everything and anything. He was truly a mensch, and he will leave a lasting mark on every life he touched. There are truly no words for how much he will be missed.

Ron is survived by his children, Michelle Berger (James), Pamela London (James), and Stacey Lehnen (Brian); his grandchildren, Michael and Rachel Barrett, Melissa Barrett, Jared Berger, Alexis Berger, and Ryan Berger. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Leonard Winegrad and his wife Bonnie Winegrad.

Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services on Sunday, November 8,2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 2701 Old Lincoln Highway, Trevose, PA 19053.

Following interment family and friends are invited to return to the Social Room at the late residence. 666 W Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
