Died peacefully on April 20, 2025, at the age of 82. From Jeanes Street, Philadelphia, to Rwanda, in central Africa, Ronnie lived a life full of adventure, curiosity, and caring. He was born Ronald David Abraham, the son of Lillian and Morris, in Philadelphia. He attended Central High School and graduated from Temple University as a biology major. He then attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). After an ENT internship in Michigan, he trained in physiatry at Temple. Ronnie resettled in Bucks County to begin practicing physical medicine and rehabilitation. He founded Medical Fitness Institute, later known as United Therapy Centers, which blended medical treatment with physical fitness. With his wife of 52 years, Marcia Abraham, Ronnie traveled the world—from the slopes of Aspen and Telluride to Israel, China, and Saint Martin. Sharing a love of Jewish tradition, they co-founded Shir Ami, Newtown, PA, where Ronnie served as the temple’s first president. Ronnie was the loving father of Adam, Shara, and Nina; the devoted father-in-law of Ambika, Brian, and Michael; and the indulgent grandfather (known affectionately as “Ra Ra”) of Kaleb, Ari, Mason, and Logan. Ronnie is also survived by his siblings, Barry Abraham and Marcie Kallen, and their spouses, Ellen Abraham and Scott Kallen. Generous to a fault, Ronnie gave to many charitable causes, especially Israel Bonds, but most of all he enjoyed summers in Margate with his family and delighting in new and eclectic cuisine.
