Shelly Epstein (nee Abrams), 83, passed away peacefully on Jan 16, 2023. She was the wife of Jerrold (“Jerry”) Epstein. They were married for 61 years. Born in Philadelphia in 1939, she was the daughter of the late Dinah (nee Trotman) and Ted Abrams. She lived in Northeast Philadelphia and Rydal PA until retiring- initially to communities in Langhorne PA and Boynton Beach FL, then later at Ann’s Choice in Warminster PA. She graduated from Olney High School and Temple University. She worked as an elementary school teacher, and later at the family business, Mercury TV. Shelly was an active member of the Congregations of Shaare Shamayim, including being a past president of the Sisterhood. Shelly was an enthusiastic participant in the Sisterhood’s bowling league, and lifelong fan of the Phillies and Eagles, sharing that special bond with her dad. Her greatest joy later in life was being a Bubby: knitting items and making videos for, and vacationing with her beloved grandchildren. Rochelle is survived by Jerry; her children, Scott Epstein (Sandy), Andrea Kamen (Hershel), and Robin Schorr (Ron); 4 grandchildren, Ali and Jake Epstein, and Jessica and Marcus Kamen; her brother Sheldon (“Abe”) Abrams (Sharon); and her sister Harriet Covenko. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shelly’s name may be made to the Ann’s Choice Benevolent Fund, the Shaare Shamayim Mitzvah Fund, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Funeral services Tuesday 10 AM precisely, Family will be receiving at 9:30 AM. at Goldstein’s Rosenberg’s Raphael-Sacks, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton, PA. Interment at King David Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
