Rochelle Rosen

Rochelle “Rae” Rosen (nee Doctor), 98, of East Norriton, Pa, passed away on January 24, 2024. Rochelle was the daughter of the late Reuben and Esther “Hesse” Doctor. She was the loving wife of the late Alvin Rosen, and a dedicated mother to Ellen Schwerin (Hugh), the late Robert Rosen, and the late Susan Cooper (Jeff). Rochelle delighted in being a loving Bubbe to her six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is survived (and forever beloved) by her grandchildren Andrew Schwerin (Jaclyn Bell), David Schwerin (Naiara), Raspberry Rosen, Snowflake Rosen (Oge Young), Jenna Zalut (Scott), and Elana Cooper, and her great-grandchildren Asher, Casey, Spencer, Mary Raindrop, Ogie, Melinda, George, Lia, and Elliot.

Rae lit up every room she entered - she was adored by her customers at the many jobs held during her lifetime - the 30th Street Station Philly pretzel shop, the camera store, and the dry cleaners (to name a few). Even in retirement, Rochelle continued to work by volunteering at the Abramson Center gift shop. She was cherished by her golf groups, mahjong circle, and all the residents and staff of Brightview where she spent the last ten years of her life. Every room will feel a little less bright without Rochelle’s smile and kind words.
