Roberta Atteson

Roberta Atteson (nee Altschuler) passed away on May 4, 2026. Roberta was born on December 20th, 1939 and grew up with her late sister Arlene Chirgwin (nee Altschuler) in West Haven, Connecticut, amongst a commotion of relatives whom she loved throughout her life. She was the loving wife of the late Alvin Atteson, with whom she had and is survived by children Stacie Pansky (nee Atteson), Kevin Atteson and Michael Atteson. After the birth of her first grandchild, she became known to all as "Geema". She is survived by grandchildren Paige Dougherty (nee Pansky), Anna Pansky, Adam Atteson and Isaac Atteson and great grandchildren Amelia Dougherty and Talia Dougherty. In recent years, she has quietly retired to the Flowers Mill community and cultivated her lifelong love of words by participating in the community's writing club.
