Robert Goldberg

Robert (Bob) Goldberg, age 87, died peacefully on the morning of November 8^th, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Judith. Loving father of Mindy (Rick) Kramer. Adoring grandfather of Julia and Jessica. 

He was born and raised in Philadelphia, and graduated from Akiba Hebrew Academy in 1954. He attended college at Temple University for almost two years, but then decided to serve his country by joining the Army in 1957. He was ranked first in his class and was stationed in Germany, seeing much of Europe and other parts of the world. He loved sharing stories of his travels, the new foods that he tried, being the only sergeant that could read Hebrew, and leading the Jewish Services for others of the Jewish Faith. 

He was married in April of 1968 to Judy, until her death in March of 1997, and had one daughter, Mindy. He was in the office supply business until he retired. 

He was caring, selfless, kind and would help anyone when needed. He was quiet, but would come out with a joke unexpectedly and we will miss that so much. His greatest love was his granddaughters, Julia and Jessica, and attended all of their school events until he couldn’t anymore. He loved spending time with them, with Mindy, and also matching wits with Rick while watching Jeopardy. He always enjoyed playing poker with his buddies every week and watching the stock market. We will miss him so very much. 

Family and friends are invited to his Graveside Service on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Shalom Memorial Park. Contributions in his memory may be made to the SPCA of Chester County, https://bvspca.org
