Robbin John Eicher, April 21, 1950 – September 18, 2026 (Age 76).

Robbin J. Eicher, 76 of Kennett Square, passed on September 18, 2026 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after a brief battle with leukemia.

Robbin was born April 21, 1950 in Johnstown, PA to the late Norman J. and Dolores M. (McDonald) Eicher. As the oldest son of 6 children, Robbin was always a “big brother” to his 5 siblings. The family moved to Strinestown, PA in York County when Robbin was 5 years old.

An outstanding athlete at Northeastern High School, Robbin excelled in every sport and was especially fond of baseball, playing throughout college and then becoming an avid fan of professional teams. He started his college education at the Penn State University and graduated from Elizabethtown College with a degree in business.

Robbin had a very successful 25 year career as a Human Resources professional with the Dupont Company, in the Berg Electronics Division, and was later transferred to Research Triangle Park, NC, Wilmington, DE and Columbus, OH. After retiring from Dupont, Robbin continued to build his career as an employment counselor working for several national career transitioning firm. He relocated to the Philadelphia suburbs and ultimately to Kennett Square, PA.

Robbin was an avid reader and an outstanding writer and perhaps his favorite pastime was gardening. Always a strong mentor and coach, Robbin volunteered as a lay counselor to adult men in the mental health system.

He is survived by his son Daniel J. Eicher, Philadelphia, PA, his former wife Carol S. Eicher, Philadelphia, PA, his partner Patty Zebley, Kennett Square, PA, a brother, Raymond G. Eicher (Nancy Weiss), Hunt Valley, MD, a sister, Joady M. Connors, Mt. Wolf, PA, and a brother-in-law Gregory W. Betlej, Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his sister Ivy R. Yanez (Tony), Dallastown, PA, sister Heidi A. Ludwig (Ronnie), Allentown, PA, and sister Iris M. Betlej, Milwaukee, WI. He is also survived by niece Adrienne Connors and nephew Seth Connors, Mt. Wolf, PA, niece Nicki Sebastian (Roni), Los Angeles, CA, nephew Duran Yanez (Kyrsta), Georgetown, DE, niece Renee Harbold (Bryan), Jacobus, PA, niece Kelsey Gilbert (Chris), Baltimore, MD. Further survived by grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, former in laws and friends.

A funeral and burial was held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Roosevelt Memorial Park in Trevose, PA. Contributions in Robbin’s memory may be made to Compeer Chester County or to Blood Cancers United.
