The ancient Greeks, when someone passed away, would ask only one question — did they have passion?

My mother did. She lived with passion, she poured her heart into her work. She was, in every sense, a Teacher — one touched by grace.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of her students passed through the life of our small family and became part of it. My father and I knew their strengths and frailties, their parents, their talents, and their mischief.

On the day we said farewell to my mother, her students came — from the Soviet Union and from America — gathering once more around their beloved teacher.

And that, perhaps, is the finest epitaph for both a Teacher and a Human Being.

A vivid, generous life — long and bright — lived across two continents of this small planet, touching so many destinies.

Mom, we celebrate you — for a life beautifully, passionately lived.

With love, from your husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and freinds are invited to her Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 22, 11:00 AM at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Funeral Directors, 6410 N Broad Street, Philadelphia PA, 19126. Interment to follow at Montefiore Cemetery.

У моей мамы была страсть, она страстно любила свою работу, она была Учителем от Бога...

Сотни, и может быть тысячи её учеников входили в жизнь нашей маленькой семьи и становились её частью. Мы с папой знали их слабости и силу, их родителей, их таланты и проказы.

В день прощания с мамой к ней пришли её ученики из Советского Союза и её питомцы из Америки.

Это, наверное, самая лучшая эпитафия Учителю и человеку.

Яркая длинная жизнь прожитая на двух континетах этой небольшой планеты, затронувшея так много судеб.

Мама, поздравляем тебя с прекрасно прожитой жизнью!
