Rena Burstein (nee Benson) of Bryn Mawr, PA, June 14, 2026. Devoted wife for 73 years of the late Elias Burstein. Loving mother of Joanna Mitro (Gary), Sara Donna, and Mimi Burstein (Glenn Frantz). Beloved grandmother of Susanna Mitro (Nikko Custodio) and Graham Mitro. Dear great grandmother of Fiona Custodio.

She was a graduate of George Washington University and the University of Pennsylvania and for many years was a counseling psychologist at B'nai B'rith Career and Counseling in Philadelphia. She was also very active with the American Association of University Women in Virginia and Pennsylvania.

She is fondly remembered by family members and friends for her lifelong curiosity, insightful analysis, and wise guidance. Many people considered her their second mom and will always treasure her role in their life
