Phyllis Lea Soufer (née Kirsch), 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning February 24, 2026, at home in Marlton, NJ.
She was the beloved wife of Daniel Frank Soufer, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Their partnership was marked by loyalty, mutual respect, and enduring devotion to family.
A devoted mother, she is survived by Larry (Laura) Bien of Gainesville, VA; Michael (Tisa) Bien of West Chester, PA; and Lisa Bien of Ventnor, NJ. She expressed her love through constant care, attentiveness, and a steady reassuring presence in her children’s lives.
She was a loving grandmother to Stephen (Emily) Bien of Leesburg, VA; Lauren Garletts of Harrisonburg, VA; Kolbe (Greta) Bien of Boston, MA; Mateo Bien of Williamsport, PA; Jacob (Eliza) Hogan of Holladay, UT; and Ari Miller of Ventnor, NJ. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Henry, Oliver, Alice, Sam, and Kaiser. She took great joy in following the milestones and daily lives of each generation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Reba Kirsch (née Chait), and her brother, Ted (Roberta) Kirsch, both of Northeast Philadelphia.
A graduate of West Philadelphia High School, Phyllis carried a strong sense of practicality and resilience throughout her life. Known for her steady nature and thoughtful counsel, she was someone others relied on for support and reassurance.
She enjoyed travel and knitting, pursuits that reflected both her curiosity about the world and her patience and creativity. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, dependability, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services on Thursday, February 26, 11:00 AM precisely at Roosevelt Memorial Park (Section U), 2701 Old Lincoln Highway, Trevose, PA 19053.
