RETTER
PHILIP, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away February 23, 2009. He was a young 83. Survived by Helen (Silverman), his wife of 55 years, his children, Melody and Michael Goldberg, Caryn and Steve Glusman and his four grandsons, Justin, Corey, Dan and Jeff. He is also survived by his loving family, Norman and Reggie Alper, Mort and Faith Silverman, Stanley and Gerri Brown, and his many caring nieces and nephews. Phil was a World War II veteran where he served as a signalman in the Navy. He was a watchmaker before retiring in 1992 to Florida, where he enjoyed golfing daily. Phil was an avid sports fan, as well as an active participant throughout his life. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services, Thursday 1 P.M. precisely, GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park. Shiva will be held at the Goldberg residence through Sunday evening. A donation may be made in memory of Phil to the American Lung Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
