PETER GUNN

Peter Louis Gunn, 84, of Audubon Pennsylvania, formerly of Spring Valley, New City, Southold NY, and Bonita Springs Florida, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on July 5th, 2021.



Peter, a graduate of NYU, became a mechanical engineer who went on to become a builder and chief engineer in the commercial and residential real-estate and construction industry. He was a kind and loving husband of 53 years to Phyllis, an amazing father to Meryle, Ruth and Andrew (Amanda), a thoughtful brother to George (Carol), and a generous "Pop-Pop" to his three adoring granddaughters Abigail, Lulu and Tessa.



In addition to his extensive travels throughout the world, Peter had a passion for the water and boating, and was an avid "tinkerer". He always kept himself sharp and engaged through his love of hobbies. Peter's interests included building skyscrapers and developments to fixing machines, boats, and model airplanes. He fully immersed himself in his clubs including the Power Squadron, RC Flyers club, Billiards club and the Profits investment group. Everyone fondly remembers Peter as" the man who could build or fix anything".



Peter left a lasting impression on everyone he touched in life. He was warm, compassionate, and always put helping others before himself. We will miss him dearly.
