PERRY SACHS

Perry Sachs, 95, passed away peacefully in his Florida home on March 2, 2020. He was the loving husband of Margarita. He was adored by his daughter Jennifer Jardim and her husband Harry Hamilton, his daughter Malene Robb and her husband Ed, and his step-daughter Natalia Andrews and her partner Anna Kratskina. He was a beloved grandfather (also known as "Morfar") to Henrik and Amalia Hamilton. Perry was predeceased by his beloved first wife Jytte (Jorgensen), daughter Lisa Joy Schwenker, and sister Elsa Adler. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Perry had an adventurous spirit and traveled the country and the world both privately and as a long serving member of the U.S. Naval Reserve, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. His military service included active duty during WWII as a Signalman with the United States Navy. A graduate of Germantown High School and the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School), Perry had a long career in Industrial Engineering while nurturing a side career as a stand-up comic. Along with travel, Perry was an avid sports and Formula 1 racing fan, swam competitively in college, and enjoyed scuba diving, opera and cooking. He continued running, swimming and weightlifting well into his golden years. Funeral services are private. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
