GOLDSTEIN, PEPPE, (Nee Nathanson) 64 - of Ventnor, passed away unexpectedly, after a brief illness on October 16, 2007 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Atlantic City, Peppe was a graduate of ACHS Class of '61. A Sculptor and teacher she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. She was a substitute teacher in the Philadelphia School System. Peppe lived up to her name. She livened every event she attended. She was chairman of the Class of '61 Reunions and worked on many charitable events. A marathon walker she completed the New York Marathon numerous times and walked the length of the Boardwalk daily when at the shore. Peppe was an avid Mah Jongg player. She was a member of Har Zion Temple in Philadelphia and Rodef Sholom Synagogue and its Sisterhood in Atlantic City and RNS. Peppe was predeceased by her husband, Melvin B. Goldstein and her parents Rose and Maurice Nathanson. She is survived by her son, Sebastian (Katie) Goldstein of Cherry Hill, her sister, Stella Ann (Samuel) Borenstein of Margate and her adorable grandson, Kyle Mason - who was the light of her life. Peppe will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins with whom she always kept in touch. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 1:30 PM at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael Sacks, 6410 North Broad Street, Philadelphia. Burial will follow at Montefiore Cemetery, Jenkintown, PA. Shiva will be observed at the home of Sebastian and Katie Goldstein through Sunday evening.
