Paul C. Astor, Esq. of Bala Cynwyd, PA on January 30,2026 at age 96. Beloved husband for 72 years of Rose (Garfinkel). Cherished father of Janice and Gary Blumenthal and Nancy and Robb Fox. Devoted PopPop of Rebecca Fox Starr and Kenny Starr, Robert and Amanda Blumenthal, Emily and Lee Eisenberg, and Michael (Bull) and Sam Blumenthal. Adored Great-Grandfather of Belle and Beau Starr, June Rose Eisenberg, and Charlie Louise Blumenthal. Predeceased by parents Samuel and Elizabeth Astor and sisters Thelma Miller and Geri Kramer Weiner. A proud graduate of the Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, he started as a sole practitioner and went on to build Astor, Weiss & Newman, later Astor, Weiss, Kaplan & Mandel, one of the most prestigious law firms in the city of Philadelphia. As a respected lawyer for over 65 years, he was known for his excellence in his profession and his dedication to clients, as well as respected for his philanthropic commitment to the community. Funeral services will be held at Goldstein's Rosenbergs' Funeral Home, 6410 N Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA on Sunday, February 1st at 12:00pm. A livestream link is available here.
