Owen A. Comer, 92, of Southampton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Linda. Together they built a life rooted in loyalty, laughter, resilience, and enduring partnership. He also leaves behind three children and four grandchildren. Born on December 14, 1933, in Philadelphia to Harry Comer and Catherine Blender, Owen was a true son of the city. He carried his Philadelphia roots with pride, graduating from Central High School and later from Temple University. As a fraternity brother of Tau Epsilon Phi, he formed friendships that would remain steadfast throughout his lifetime. Like many men of his generation, he answered the call to serve, spending two years in the United States Army in post war Korea from 1955 to 1957. That sense of duty and integrity guided him long after his service ended. After returning home, Owen joined his father’s printing and office supply company, Alfred Envelope, traveling up and down the East Coast as a salesman. Through dedication and perseverance, he eventually purchased the business, becoming a small business owner. Owen was a gentle and gracious man, the kind whose calm presence made others feel immediately at ease. He loved his Philadelphia sports teams with unwavering loyalty. Music moved him, especially Latin Jazz and Mambo. An accomplished Latin dancer, he brought rhythm to every room, sometimes with Conga or Bongo drums in hand. A natural athlete, he enjoyed golfing with his sons, proudly held the title of Army Ping Pong champion, and achieved Ruby Life Master in his cherished game of Bridge, a pursuit that reflected both his sharp mind and quiet patience. He and Linda loved to travel, and treasured holiday adventures with their daughter in California and around the world, building precious memories together. A memorial service to honor his long and well lived life will be held at Goldstein’s on Second Street Pike in Southampton on Tuesday, March 3, at 3:30 PM precisely. Family will be receiving guests starting at 3:00 PM. In lieu of gifts, a tree to be planted in Owen’s name would be greatly appreciated.
