Norman Lipton, 86, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away on January 11,2023. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sheryl, sister Elaine, and brother Stanley. He is survived by his girlfriend Margie, niece Linda, and nephews Bruce and Steven.
Love of family was central to who Norman was. He took great pleasure in being part of their lives as well as the many cousins that he had. A very energetic man who until recently played golf three days a week and worked out at the gym four days a week.
Norman was a proud Army Veteran. Born in Alabama, Norman loved watching his Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team. He also loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles through all their highs and lows. His greatest moment watching sports was when the Eagles won the Super Bowl.
Norman worked for many years as an Accountant with Coca Cola and then with the Philadelphia School District. Always looking for ways to be useful, Norman volunteered at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He joined many Senior Citizen Groups. He supported Children International and sponsored a child for years. Norman defied age expectations. He was the oldest player in a touch football league.
Norman was always reliable and dependable. He always thought of others and was always there to help in his quiet, understated way. He didn't speak of himself, and didn't take credit for the many good deeds that he did.
The many that loved Norman will always miss him.
Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, January15 at 10:30am at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 3000-3062 Lincoln Highway, Bensalem, Pa. 19020.
