FOXMAN

DR. NORMAN, on February 22, 2016, of Longboat Key FL and Penn Valley PA, passed away at the age of 89, in Sarasota FL.
Born April 30, 1926, Norman grew up in South Philly and proudly served in World War II in the Army Specialized Training Program (ASTP). He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Norman was a respected and beloved Optometrist for 63 years, treating several generations of Philadelphia families, a career that he truly loved.
The true love of Norman's life was his wife of 65 years, Diane. Each day was a celebration and they enjoyed every minute to the fullest. They shared a love for travel, art, music and most of all their family. Norm and Diane have been active members of Temple Beth Hillel for over 60 years.
Norman also was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing into his late 80s.
Diane has lost the best husband ever; his sister, Eileen Eidelson will deeply miss her caring brother; his sons, Scott and Brett will miss the father that they loved and respected, their wives Ava and Nicole will miss their terrific father-in-law and Brennan, Taylor, Simone and Neil shall always remember their joke-telling, sweet PopPop. He was loved by all who had been touched by the smile that was always on his face.
Services will be held on Friday, February 26, at 11 A.M., at Temple Beth Hillel, 1001 Remington Rd, Wynnewood PA 19096. This will be followed by a private Graveside Service for family members only. The family will be sitting Shiva on Saturday, February 27, at 7 P.M., at the Foxman Family residence in Penn Valley. In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to the Guillain-Barre Foundation (www.gbs-cidp.org) 104 ½ Forrest Ave., Narberth PA 19072-2215.
